"I prefer neurotic people. I like to hear rumblings beneath the surface." - Stephen Sondheim

“Don’t wonder why people go crazy. Wonder why they don’t. In the face of what we can lose in a day, in an instant, wonder what the hell it is that makes us hold it together.” - Meredith Grey

“We try in life to put humor everywhere; if we didn’t, we couldn’t bear to live.”

Artemis Fowl for me! I was 11, and I swore I was going to marry that beautiful criminal…

Does The Muppets count? I would probably say The Muppets. BUT, Degrassi: The Next Generation was my absolute favorite show in middle school. I really thought they did a great job of portraying realistic adolescent (Canadian) life. I didn’t realize till later that one of the reasons I loved it so much is that it showed a young man dealing with coming to terms with his sexuality and being himself with his family and friends. There wasn’t another “children’s” or “teen” show out there like it. There’s almost not any teen issue that they haven’t touched. They have a transgender character, and I don’t know of any other teen drama to have one in their cast. I don’t watch it anymore, it’s almost a different series, but Degrassi was my shit.
